Sophia Fisher
Sophia Fisher teaches Cities and Societies and Planning Cities. In Cities and Societies, students learn about the forces of globalization, urbanization, industrialization and deindustrialization, and how they interact with the geography of cities and other urban areas. In Planning Cities, students receive an introduction to urban planning, covering both history and current trends. Sophia finds that GW students are very engaged, and enjoys leading class discussions--even when the students ask her tough questions! Sophia took these two classes as a junior and is excited to be teaching the same classes that inspired her career in urban planning.
