Jack Jeffrey

Hi, I’m Jack Jeffrey, and I’m originally from Charleston, South Carolina. I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2025 with degrees in Geography and Political Science and am beginning my M.S. in Geography and Environment at GW. My interests center on environmental GIS, remote sensing, and spatial modeling, particularly their applications to conservation and coastal environments. Before coming to GW, I worked with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources on habitat suitability modeling and shoreline change analysis, and this summer I was selected as a geospatial analyst for the NASA EarthRISE Developers Academy, where I worked with the National Park Service and The Nature Conservancy on invasive plant habitat modeling across California’s Channel Islands. At GW, I’ll also serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for GEOG 2104: Introduction to Cartography and GIS, and I’m excited to continue developing my interests in environmental and geospatial research.
