Jody Uyanik teaches Cultural Geography, a course that examines the cultural values, practices, expressions, and artefacts of people; the cultural diversity and plurality of society; and how people produce and communicate knowledge and meaning in spaces and places. Jody Uyanik has worked in international development for more than 20 years, including with the Peace Corps and the US Agency for International Development. She holds a master's from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and is currently completing her doctoral dissertation in psychology.
