Alek Petty is a polar climate scientist studying the causes and consequences of polar sea ice change through remote sensing observations, climate models, and AI/ML tools. He is a Research Scientist at the University of Maryland’s Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center and a member of several NASA remote sensing mission Science Teams.
